Written Translations
Processing:
All translations are word-processed and suitable graphics are guaranteed (we use Microsoft Office
professional including PowerPoint, Access and other software by arrangement).
Quality:
The care and attention devoted to each translation processed by us is guaranteed to be of the highest
quality. Texts are allocated to individual translators after careful consideration of their experience
with the subject in question to obtain the best quality of translation possible. H&H can give this guarantee
due to the fact that all our translators are skilled and experienced people. Great care is not only put
on the quality of the translation but also the delivery time and presentation of the translation.
Delivery:
This is also a very important factor for you, the customer. We at H&H understand that in today’s business,
deadlines are made, meetings are prepared and presentations are given. This means that you need to know
that the translation will be done within or on time and in a format usable for you so less time is given
in transferring the texts to suit your needs. Normal or express translations, H&H will tell you up front
whether we can meat the deadlines before undertaking the job.Translations may be delivered in various ways. The most usual and quickest is by e-mail. In some case it is necessary to post or deliver the translation by hand e.g. texts that have been legally stamped, this is possible free of charge in the Usti, Decin and Teplice area. In these cases translations are presented in paper form or/and CD or diskette form.
How the price is calculated:
The price of one standard page of text in the target language is calculated thus:One standard page consists of 1800 characters in the target language. The first page is taken as a full page even in the event that it may only be 200 characters (the original text, which may differ considerably in volume e.g. German is a "longer" language than Czech, containing longer and more words and therefore more characters). The number of characters in a Microsoft Word document can easily be obtained by following these instructions: from the menu bar at the top of the page find Word Count in the Tools menu. By combining the number of words (inc. spaces) with the number of symbols (not counting spaces), and dividing the total by 1800, we arrive at the number of characters in a particular document.
Note:
A standard page is understood by some other agencies as 1600 characters, whereas the Union of translators
and Interpreters operates a 1500 character system, in line with the EU. These counts may or may not count
the number of spaces between words. H&H does include the spaces for the simple reason of ease for you to
be able to calculate the cost of your text.
